Peter J Davoren, President & CEO, Turner Construction Company, is guiding the company to make huge impacts, not just globally, but with a major role to play in India too. The US-construction management major, Turner International, whose Indian arm is spearheading projects such as the world´s tallest statue, the 182-m Statue of Unity in Gujarat, is now eyeing a big role in India´s ambitious Smart Cities mission.Upbeat on the proposed 100 ´smart cities´ projects in India, the project management company is looking at expansion in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Vizag. Davoren is heading the company to great achievements - Turner, which has six projects underway in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Gujarat, began its first project in India in Chennai by real estate major, the Hiranandani Group. And since then, Davoren has been taking the company to great heights. Turner, which had a global construction volume of $10 billion in 2014, will have a soft opening of its signature project - DLF´s Mall of India in Noida - in the first quarter next year. Davoren is making Turner set benchmarks globally too; their projects in other countries include VietinBank Tower in Vietnam, Pertamina Energy Tower in Indonesia, Federation Tower in Russia, among others.
