MAHA LEADER

Pune Metro has become the fastest metro project in the country to have reached a milestone of trials in just 30 months! With Maha Metro's Managing Director Dr Brijesh Dixit leading the project, work is reportedly on track for the first stretch of 5 km to be commissioned in April this year. The entire project, comprising two corridors of 31.25-km length, worth Rs.114.20 billion, is expected to be completed by March 2022. Trials on Corridor-1 will reportedly go on for two to three months, and commence in another two months on the second corridor. Interestingly, Maha Metro is looking at foraying into Pune’s real estate business with around 10 million sq ft of commercial space being created across the 30 metro stations on the two corridors.  This, as it gears up to commission and make operational its first stretch in the coming months under Dr Dixit's leadership!
