NEW DIRECTOR

Kandikuppa Sreekant has taken charge of the Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCI), the largest electric power transmission utility in the country, 

as its newly appointed Chairman and Managing Director. With over 33 years of experience in the power sector, in the areas of long term financial planning, investment appraisals, formulation of capital budgets, and resource mobilisation from domestic and international markets, he has successfully carved his name in the industry. With the new appointment, he will set the ball rolling on major investment undertakings by the state-owned electrical utility. Prior to his new PGCI appointment, Sreekant was the director of finance at the Power Grid, during the tenure of which he set essential milestones for the company. He has 

also served as the general manager (finance) at the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).
