New AIRPORT CHIEF

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) welcomed its new chairman – Senior IAS Officer Arvind Singh who was recently appointed to the post. Singh has been appointed as the chief of AAI in the rank and pay of additional secretary. Prior to this appointment, he was additional chief secretary (energy) to the Government of Maharashtra. He also worked as Chairman and Managing Director of the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company and the Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company. This news comes at a time when AAI has extensive expansion plans on the horizons, which include elevating their airport and road infrastructure with a special focus on navigation systems. In his new assignment, Singh is expected to lead efforts to achieve AAI’s organisational goals of providing world-class airport infrastructure, top-of-the-line facilities and leading air navigation services in the world – and we wish him success for all his future undertakings.
