Under the leadership of Vinayak Deshpande, Tata Projects, in a JV with 

Turkish company Gulermak, has bagged tunnelling projects for the underground section of the Pune Metro Rail project. The JV has reportedly bagged contracts for both the packages worth Rs 22.83 billion – the 2.5-km Package-I worth Rs 11.27 billion and 2.5 km Package-II worth Rs 11.56 billion.  Under Deshpande's guidance, the firm is known for its comprehensive design, engineering and construction solutions in Mass Rapid Transit Systems (MRTS), metro-rails, mono-rails and other urban transport modes. It is also successfully involved in other challenging metro projects across the country, such as the  Mumbai Metro Line-3, Pune Metro Line-3, Lucknow Metro North-South Corridor. With Deshpande’s 30+ years of experience in different roles and diverse industries, here's adding another feather to Tata Projects’ cap!
