Metro Achiever

The Kanpur Metro trial run has commenced before its scheduled time under the guidance of Kumar Keshav, Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation. The metro trial run between IIT-Kanpur and Moti Jheel was inaugurated by  Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh recently. The RDSO will conduct trial runs of the metro trains for about six weeks, under which various tests will be conducted to check the suspension of the train, vibrations in the train body during operation, brakes and speed. The commercial operations of Kanpur Metro will begin after the trial runs. In the first phase, the metro will run between IIT-Kanpur and Moti Jheel covering a distance of nine km, in its second phase, it will be extended beyond Moti Jheel to Transport Nagar.
