Awanish Kumar Awasthi, CEO, Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), is making news. He has been entrusted with the responsibility of execution and completion of five massive ongoing infrastructural projects in the state. Various stakeholders are working diligently to improve infrastructural development in the state. The five ambitious projects proposed are the 340.824-km Purvalchal Highway; 296-km Bundelkhand Expressway; 91.35-km Gorakhpur Line Expressway; the Uttar Pradesh Defence Corridor; and the 1,022-km Ganga Expressway. These projects will boost the connectivity of the state internally as well as with other states. The cumulative cost at which these projects are being executed is 

Rs.840 billion.
