Record Maker

01 Aug 2021

The Government Erode Medical College and Hospital in Perundurai, Tamil Nadu, was recently completed in a record 45 days. This, despite the ongoing pandemic. And how! Tirupur-based Teemage Builders, under the leadership of its Managing Director NK Nandhagopal, set this record at the 69,200.56 sq ft building by using precast concrete construction technology. All the materials were manufactured at the factory and assembled at the construction site.

The sheer size of the building and speed at which it was built have helped the structure find a place in the Elite World Records, Asian Records Academy, India Records Academy and Tamilan Book of Records as the “largest hospital building constructed by precast concrete technology in the shortest period”. Well deserved!
