Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, adds another feather to his cap as NHAI makes a place for itself in the Guinness Book of World Records. In a mere four days, under Gadkari’s leadership, NHAI has constructed a 75 km long two-lane bituminous road as part of the NH53, between Amravati and Akola in Maharashtra. This incredible feat has been achieved by an industrious team of 720 people and independent consultants. This stretch of highway plays a crucial role in reducing traffic congestion and easing freight movement. The NH53 also connects major cities across the country like Kolkata, Raipur, Nagpur and Surat. This master stroke has only been achieved due to the precise and concerted efforts of NHAI and the leadership of Gadkari.
