GVK Power and Infrastructure Ltd plans to develop the 90 MW Rattle Hydro Electric Power project in Jammu and Kashmir. GVK has been allotted the project on build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis for a period of 35 years. The total investment required will be about Rs 5,000 crore and the project will commission by 2017. It is being promoted by the Jammu and Kashmir Government through the Jammu and Kashmir State Power Development Corporation Ltd.
