Jindal Power has been issued summons for initiating work at coal washeries at Libara and Dhaurabhatha villages in Chhattisgarh without proper environmental clearances. The summons were issued after the CJM Court registered a case against JPL and its executives under various sections of the Environment Conservation Act, 1986, and Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1976 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
