LMC to use garbage to generate electricity

Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) has proposed to provide electricity generated from garbage, for which it has procured five turbine generators from a Delhi-based company. The Shivri waste management plant of LMC will reportedly convert 45,000 metric tonne of trash into 450 MW of power every month.
