01 Oct 2015

State-run NHPC has completely restored its Chutak power station in Jammu and Kashmir after its temporary closure for over a month.
The company had, in June, completely shutdown Chutak power station due to sudden increase in water level in unit three and four of the project. Chutak power station is a run-of-the-river scheme with an installed capacity of 44 MW (4 x 11 MW) and harnesses the Hydropower potential of river Suru in Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir.
