NSL Power has signed an MoU with the Orissa Government for setting up a 1,320 (2x660) MW coal-based power plant at an estimated cost of Rs 6,600 crore. The project will come up in the Anugul district of Orissa.

The project will need 1,000-1,200 acre and the company has been in the process of securing environmental clearances. It will also soon follow up with financial closure towards the end of this calendar year. Of the total project cost, 75 per cent would be debt and the remaining equity, which is likely from internal accruals.
