IndiGrid buys asset in Haryana for $40 mn

India Grid Trust (IndiGrid) has reportedly bought a 100 per cent stake in a Haryana-based asset owned by Kalpataru Power Transmission and Techno Electric and Engineering Co for  Rs.3.10 bn. The KKR and GIC-backed trust has reportedly completed the acquisition of Jhajjar KT Transco, an operational intra-state asset that consists of three 400 kV transmission lines across 103 km in Haryana. The latest acquisition marks the second deal between IndiGrid and Techno and the tenth since the InvIT listed on the stock exchanges in 2017. With this acquisition, the InvIT now manages assets worth  Rs.1.23 bn or $1.6 bn.
