835 projects listed for Rs.111 tn NIP

The government has identified and listed 6,835 projects under its Rs.111 tn National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP), seeking to attract investment in infrastructure development. An information repository has recently been launched of all projects identified under the NIP. Investors can use the ‘India Investment Grid’ to access information on projects and form PPPs with the government for their execution. The portal will also monitor development of these projects. According to the India Investment Grid portal, 3,678 projects worth Rs.59.25 tn have been listed for investments, spanning across sectors such as energy, social and commercial infra, communication, water and sanitation.
