Rs.40 bn budgetary provision for industrial estate

A provision of Rs.40 bn has been made in the Maharashtra state budget for setting up a modern industrial estate in Satara district, which would help the development of drought-prone areas in western Maharashtra. Pre-budget meetings were reportedly held with officials and elected representatives in Satara in this regard.
