Rs.600 bn funding sought to interlink Godavari Cauvery rivers

The Central Government is looking for funding from financial institutions, of around Rs.600 bn, to interlink the Godavari and Cauvery rivers. Besides this, the Jal Shakti Ministry officials have reviewed the status of 47 intra-state river link proposals from nine states.
