The Coal Ministry has launched an e-auction of 10 reserves for commercial mining. The technical evaluation of bids has been completed, clearing it for the auction. Till now, the Ministry has auctioned 43 coal mines with a peak capacity of 85.4 mtpa. Meanwhile, the total peak capacity of 10 reserves up for auction for commercial mining is 39.31 mtpa.
