CWC completes DPR of Pahantoli irrigation scheme in Jharkhand

The detailed project report of the Pahantoli Irrigation Scheme in Simdega, Jharkhand has been completed by the Central Water Commission (CWC). The total cost of this minor irrigation scheme is Rs.565.3 mn. This is the third completed DPR for the state. CWC is a premier technical organisation in the field of water resources and is presently an attached office of the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India. The Commission is entrusted with the general responsibilities of initiating, coordinating, and furthering in consultation with state governments, schemes for control, conservation, and utilisation of water resources throughout the country for flood control, irrigation, navigation, drinking water supply and water 
power development.
