Government allots funds for NH development

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has allocated funds for National Highways development in Telangana for FY22. The ministry in its annual planned works for FY22 has identified 20 works of 787 km at an approximate cost of Rs.69.62 bn. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has offered to consider six-lane road works and 13 works of four-lane to an extent of 485 km with an approximated cost of Rs.115.3 bn. The main proposals entailing the strengthening of Hyderabad-Bhupalapatnam and Sironcha-Atmakur have been allotted Rs.2.30 bn for a total of 54.7 km.Rs.52.30 bn has been allocated for the widening of a two-lane of 695 km.
