Government invites tenders for seven new bullet train projects

The Centre has invited tenders for new bullet train projects in the country. The Railways Ministry has directed the National High-Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL) to prepare DPRs for seven high-speed rail corridors. These include the 886-km Delhi-Jaipur-Udaipur-Ahmedabad corridor, which will connect with the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project and connect Delhi with Mumbai. Other HSR corridors include Delhi-Varanashi (865 km), Mumbai-Nagpur (753 km), Chennai-Mysore (435 km), Delhi-Amritsar (459 km), Mumbai-Hyderabad (711 km), and Varanasi-Howrah (760 km). Tenders for preparation of DPR have been floated for the Delhi-Jaipur-Udaipur-Ahmedabad Corridor.
