Govt approves over Rs.6 bn to build roads and bridges

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has approved Rs.6.15 bn out of the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) for constructing 42 roads and bridges in Utarakhand as a result of the state government's efforts.The distance to Delhi will be drastically reduced once the elevated road from Dat Kali temple in Dehradun to Delhi is built. Apart from this, other proposals worth Rs.320 bn crore are also pending before the Centre which include the Rs.120 bn Dehradun-Delhi elevated road.
