Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train: NHSRCL inks MoU with Japanese firm

The National High Speed Rail Corporation has signed a memorandum of understanding with Japan Railway Track Consultant company in connection with the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail project, also known as Bullet Train. The work relates to the T2 package comprising 237 km between Vadodara and Vapi in Gujarat. According to the agreement, JRTC will provide the detailed design and drawing of major track components like RC track bed, track slab arrangement and continuous welded rail forces. NHSRCL has also started the light detection and ranging survey for the preparation of a detailed project report for the Mumbai-Nagpur high speed rail corridor of approximately 736 km, involving imagery sensors with LiDAR technology deployed in an aeroplane to capture survey data.
