Odisha approves eight new industrial projects worth Rs.12.42 bn

The Odisha Government has recently approved eight new industrial projects worth Rs.12,420.2 mn. The 98th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority approved the projects in the metal and metal downstream, IT and ESDM, manufacturing, logistics and tourism sectors. These industrial projects are expected to generate employment for 3,135 persons. Among the projects approved are an atomised iron powder plant by SLM Powders with an investment of Rs.678.3 mn to be set up in Sundergarh district; a project of Oricon Enterprises in Khordha with an investment of Rs.1.2 bn; and a solar panel, storage battery and electronics manufacturing project of Surya International with an investment of Rs.675 mn.
