In Ramagundam, Telangana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the cornerstone for numerous projects totaling more than Rs 95 billion. The goal of achieving urea self-sufficiency, is what reportedly inspired the reactivation of the fertiliser plant. The Ramagundam Plant will provide 12.7 LMT of native neem-coated urea annually. Ramagundam Fertilisers and Chemicals (RFCL), a joint venture company between National Fertilisers (NFL), Engineers India (EIL), and Fertiliser Corporation of India, has been established to oversee the project.
