The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has allocated Rs 5 bn in its draft budget, for producing basic amenities in 34 newly merged villages. Most of these villages lack basic infrastructures such as sanitation, roads, electricity, drainage, garbage and other civic amenities. Besides additional funds will be made available for the growth of new regional ward offices comprising payment for their salaries and maintaining other installation prices.
