Six-lane Ruby flyover to be Kolkata’s highest, to have 5.5m skywalk

01 Sep 2020

The design for the six-lane Ruby flyover, which promises to ease daily commute along EM Bypass, is almost ready. The highlight of the `6-bn elevated corridor is the 5.5-m skywalk planned below the upcoming Hemanta Mukherjee Metro station at the Ruby crossing.

It will take three years to build the flyover. The implementing agency for the city’s highest flyover is the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority. Railway consultancy RITES has already submitted the draft DPR to KMDA.
