Solar Energy Zone transmission system commissioned for Rajasthan

01 Nov 2021

The Transmission System associated with Rajasthan Solar Energy Zone (SEZ) Part-C was commissioned on October 4, 2021, by POWERGRID Khetri Transmission System (PKTSL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID). This is one of Rajasthan's largest interstate tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) projects. A new 765 kV sub-station in Khetri, Rajasthan, connects the country's capital, Jhatikara, Delhi to Sikar, Rajasthan, via a 765 kV double circuit transmission line and a 400 kV double circuit transmission line. The PKTSL system's completion will make it easier to transport renewable energy from Rajasthan to other parts of the country.
