The Assam Cabinet has approved a new policy to turn the state into a logistics hub.
Among the key features of the policy are the proposal evaluation and incentive disbursement through the EoDB (Ease of Doing Business) portal. AIDC will earmark 15 per cent of its land for the development of logistics infrastructure. Another important aspect of the policy is that the department of Revenue and Disaster Management will prioritise land conversion wherever necessary for setting up logistics facilities.
