The cash-strapped Telangana government intends to raise money by legalising land in an industrial zone. After paying market value, at least 110 acre in the Azamabad Industrial Area in Musheerabad would be converted to freehold for the original allottees. Post implementation, the state's coffers would be refilled with Rs.20 bn, and the allottees and business people who successfully pushed for the government to grant the land freehold status for multiple uses will see profit.
