Telangana CM lays foundation stones for 13 lift irrigation schemes

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has laid the foundation stones for 13 lift irrigation schemes, including Nellikallu LIS and three canal modernisation works at Nellikallu in Nalgonda district. These irrigation projects will be taken up at an estimated cost of Rs.23.95 bn, and will irrigate an additional ayacut of 0.13 mn acre, benefiting farmers in the erstwhile Nalgonda district. The projects include repair to HLC (high-level canal)-8 and HLC-9 distributary canals for water supply from the LLC (low-level canal) pump house to the Nellikal LIS.
