TN unveils 7 new bridges, launches several irrigation projects

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, in a recent series of virtual events, unveiled new bridges, laid the foundation stones for irrigation projects. Among these, he unveiled a bridge on the Tiruchengode-Ariyanur Road costing Rs.450 mn, and six bridges constructed in Virudhunagar, Thoothukudi, Pudukkottai, Theni, Coimbatore and Salem districts at a total cost of Rs.407.3 mn. Palaniswami laid the foundation stone for projects to construct a regulator in Mayiladuthurai district at Rs.97.6 mn, a reservoir in Virudhunagar district at Rs.101 mn and two checks dams in Madurai district at a total cost of Rs.49.2 mn.
