Vertical lift sea rail bridge coming up in Rameshwaram

India will soon have its first vertical lift sea railway bridge, which is currently under construction in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu. The new Pamban railway bridge, being constructed under the auspices of Indian Railways, would be 2.05-km-long. The Pamban sea bridge project will cost Rs.2.50 bn.
