HDFC to invest Rs.2.50 bn in stressed assets fund

HDFC has committed to invest Rs.2.50 bn in stressed assets fund to revive stalled projects in the real estate sector. The government, as part of its measures to boost growth, had announced a Rs.250 bn package for the real estate sector in November last year, including a corpus to help stalled projects. Fund manager SBI Caps later announced the first close of the fund with Rs.105.30 bn commitments from investors, including HDFC.
