DLF to foray into mid-income housing segment

In order to diversify its portfolio, DLF is reportedly planning to foray into the mid-income housing segment. The company will develop 10 mn sq ft of mid-income housing as the realty major targets segments. The housing will be in New Gurugram, and will be a combination of plotted colony, independent floors and mid-rise houses. DLF is planning to keep the building 8-storey or less to control the construction cost. As reported, most of the mid-income housing projects will be a variation of plotted, G + 4 to a maximum of G + 8.
