DLF to invest about Rs.1.3 bn to develop data centre in Noida

DLF will invest around Rs.1.30 bn over the next 18 months to develop a data centre in Noida as it aims to exploit the rising demand for data storage capacity. The data centre will have 0.37 mn sq ft of space with suitable infrastructure, including high power capacity. It will be part of a 25-acre commercial project that has total development potential of 3.5-4.0 mn sq ft. The centre would get completed in the next 18 months, and has already agreed to lease it to Singapore-based ST Telemedia Global Data Centres. India’s data centre industry has attracted investment worth nearly $400 mn during January-September this year, according to a report by property consultant Anarock and Mace.
