As many as half of the smart cities' integrated command and control centres (ICCC) are expected to be completed by 2019. Works worth Rs 490 bn are undergoing. At present, there are 12 operational ICCC. As reported, 26 more are in the pipeline and 22 are under the process of tendering. By December next year, at least 50 out of the 100 centres are expected to function. In order to implement the projects in the Smart Cities, close to 98 special purpose vehicles have been formed.
