Kovai civic body to install LED lights in 60 wards

Under its Smart Cities project, the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation will be setting up LED lights in 60 wards by replacing the old ones. As reported, the work on the Rs 740-mn project is expected to begin once the model code of conduct is lifted.
As part of the project, as many as 58,000 LED lights will be fixed across the wards of the municipal corporation. The project is expected to be completed in six months.
