Lucknow gets Rs.5 bn funding for smart civil work

Under the Smart Cities mission and AMRUT scheme, Lucknow has reportedly received Rs 5 bn of funds for projects such as construction of 40 smart bus shelters, area-based development of Kaiserbagh, 50 km smart roads and purchasing of mechanised sweeping trucks to clean roads. Rs 3.5 bn has been allocated under the Smart City mission, while Rs 1.5 bn is under the AMRUT scheme.
