Meghalaya Government initiates projects worth Rs.1.60 bn

The Government of Meghalaya has initiated the process of implementing smart city projects worth Rs.1.60 bn. Among these, work order for the construction of a new market complex at Laitumkhrah in Shillong at Rs.300 mn is expected to be issued soon. Another project under tendering is construction of a market complex at Polo at Rs.800 mn.
Other projects include a smart road at Rs.300 mn for which the DPR is being prepared; a world-class iconic structure at Barik junction; among others.
