The Aurangabad Smart City Development Corporation (ASCDCL) has rolled out the Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping of properties in Aurangabad. Surveyors had been hired for three months through a private firm and incorporated with the mapping drive. In the procedure rolled out by ASCDCL, the surveyors will hand over the forms to the citizens, seeking property details and personal information.Then these collected data will be uploaded in a mobile application devised for the GIS mapping of properties.The assessment of properties would help the civic administration to improve the process of property tax collection and also help in providing different basic amenities and infrastructure.
