Many companies that have applied for PLI schemes have expressed a strong interest to invest in Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR), India's first greenfield industrial smart city being built near Ahmedabad. DSIR, which is being developed across 922 sq km, will have excellent rail, road, and air connectivity within the next five years.
DICDL has a large chunk of land to offer big industries state-of-the-art facilities. Of the total, 340 sq km is under the coastal regulation zone and the rest 422 sq km will be put to commercial use, of which 15-20 per cent will be a green belt.
