Kohima to get Rs.2.45 bn funding

The Centre has released Rs.30.75 billion for 100 smart cities across India as of July this year. The amount includes Rs.2.45 billion for Kohima, the lone city from Nagaland selected for the Smart Cities Mission (SCM).

During the current FY 2022-23, Rs.490 million has been released so far, as per the State-wise details of funds released by the Centre under SCM and their utilisation provided by the Minister of State MoHUA.

Of this, around 80 per cent has been utilised for Kohima smart city development, the data indicated as per the reports.
