Mangaluru invites tenders for cycle tracks on three routes

Kudla will shortly get 12 km of cycle tracks on various routes, as Mangaluru Smart City has invited tenders to construct such tracks on three routes in the city under the India Cycles4Change Challenge of the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Under the Directorate of Urban Land Transport scheme, nine Smart Cities including Mangaluru in Karnataka will get cycle tracks. The tenders are for two packages of works at an estimated cost of Rs.23 mn and Rs.33 mn.

A 3.9 km cycling track will be created from Bolar to Mini Vidhana Soudha, while a 7.4 km cycle route will be constructed from the Town Hall to TMA Pai Hall, and from Marnamikatte to Sturrock Road.
