NEC India has won the mandate to carry out the Thiruvananthapuram Smart City project. The master system integrator Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) aims to complete the project in 2022. Thiruvananthapuram is among the 100 Smart cities selected in the third round of the smart cities challenge under the Smart City Mission of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA). Thiruvananthapuram has incorporated an SPV, for planning, designing, implementing, coordinating and monitoring the Smart City projects in the city.
