Over 25,000 LED streetlights to illuminate Karnal

More than 25,000 smart and energy-efficient LED streetlights are to be installed in Karnal by the end of this year under the Smart Cities project. The amount being spent on this has not been officially disclosed yet, but as per reports it will amount to over Rs.300 mn. Tenders for this project is expected to be released soon. Samples of the submitted LEDs will be tested on the ground to evaluate efficiency. After this, financial bids will be opened to qualified bidders. After evaluation, the LoA will be issued to the lowest bidder.
