Warangal officials, contractors told to speed up Smart City works

Warangal’s Smart City works are expected to be completed within the given timeframe. The government has approved 84 work components with an outlay of Rs.23.28 bn as part of the 

Smart Cities Mission, and has so far released Rs.1.38 bn. Work on 12 components with an outlay of Rs.338.5 mn has been completed, while work on another 29 components is in various stages. Tendering process of 11 works is completed and detailed project reports for another 14 works have been cleared. Contractors have been told to speed up the remaining work so as to complete it by December-end, and officials have been ordered to release funds for the works done by the contractors as early as possible.
