I am happy to see the positive attitude we all have towards real estate and the growth in the economy and the kind of bullishness that we all are showing towards the economic development of our country. The pandemic to me is a passing phase; the human race is resilient to spring back into action.
The only thing is that while we were running around the race of development, in this pause that we have been given, we need to introspect and analyse what should be future development. It is a golden opportunity given to learn and understand what should be the future course of architectural development, infrastructure development, economic development and all kinds of development for our country. So that we do not trample the Earth and kill our resources like we did earlier. We have systematically rampaged Mother Earth and not cared for the environment, natural resources, climate, etc. I hope we learn from this and find an amicable way that will be sympathetic to all living species on this planet and also relook at the economic model we all have been subscribing to.
A couple of months of shutdown and trillions of dollars of the economy have come to a standstill. So we need to think and look at what this is going to be. Specifically, architects really need to introspect and find out the future roadmap of the architectural profession and development in this country.
