AAI ready with Halwara airport development plan

The Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority have started the process to take possession of land for Halwara Airport. AAI has said that it is ready with a plan for development of the airport, and the construction work will kick off almost as soon as they get the land. It has been decided that the construction of boundary wall of the airport will be done by the state PWD. Work on the airport building with three terminals is expected to start side by side with the construction of the boundary wall. The whole complex is estimated to involve an expenditure of Rs.3-5 bn.
